Creating artworks in my free time has helped me a lot in creative thinking, problem-solving and shaping my design style. Engraving has brought focus on small details and patience. The works below are part of a collection of artistic pencil engravings.

Spiral sculpture on pencil

Inspired by the spiral organic shape, The pencil body will be stripped of unnecessary parts, leaving an infinity spiral. With the X-ACTO knife skill, the spiral-shaped pencil body will give a sense of infinity.

Spiral sculpture with lead remain

This is a work with the same concept as the previous work; however, with a higher difficulty, Ryan removed only the unnecessary wood on the body of the pen and left only the spiral edge and the graphite nib.

Pencil Lead Sculptures

I am starting with carpenter and art pencils containing thick leads. uses an X-ACTO knife with custom blade to carve miniature renderings of spirals on different lead materials.

Word on Pencils

This is a simple work that can be applied to genres such as commemorative pen engraving. This is a work that uses the body of a pencil to describe letters and numbers.
